About this work

Description

ATVSRG was the umbrella organisation for the Alexander Technique. Member organisations included ATI (Alexander Technique International), ITM (Interactive Teaching Method), PAAT (The Professional Association of Alexander Teachers), and STAAT (The Society of the Teachers of the Alexander Technique). The group had approximately 1000 practitioners.

Alexander Technique differed substantially from other participating groups as Alexander Technique practitioners consider themselves to be teachers teaching students, rather than practitioners treating patients.

Papers include correspondence, mostly concerning mediation between the four member organisations of ATVSTRG; as well as minutes, agenda and meeting papers.
