The Survey was originally undertaken by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Population Investigation Committee and the Institute of Child Health Joint Committee for and Inquiry into the Health and Development of Children. Investigating children born in 1946. AWD joined the Committee in Nov 1951
