About this work

Description

An approximately 300 page typescript history of the Cooper [Cooper McDougall & Robertson] business 1843-1943, touching also on the Cooper family. Written by J A Hill, retiring Company Secretary.

At the end of the history are two newspaper cuttings (two parts of the same story) from the 'Berkhamsted Gazette', 10 Jun 1955, recording long service awards given to employees of the firm, and the transfer of production of Sheep Dip from Berkhamsted to Glasgow after 112 years. Accompanying the cuttings is a note from Sir William Cooper to the Company Secretary, asking that the cutting be added to the official history of the firm.

There are annotations on the typescript. These annotations are different from those in WF/C/M/H/04.
