Description

Manuscript notebook entitled 'Hints from Stokes, Graves etc. etc. at the Meath Hospital, Dublin, 1839-1840', containing lecture notes, case notes and occasional clinical drawings.

Manuscript notebook headed 'Royal Infirmary Edinburgh. Continued from first report book.' Also contains lecture notes and case notes, and a larger quantity of labelled drawings of skeletal elements at the back of the notebook. In both volumes the lecture notes are annotated with the names of lecturers including J.P. Syme, P.D. Handyside, J.A. Robertson and Graham. This notebook includes one smaller loose leaf inserted at the back of the book.

Biographical note

A.G. Malcolm was an Irish physician and medical historian. He worked at the General Hospital in Belfast and, among other works, wrote reports on sanitation in Belfast.
