Notes

This MS. is probably a copy of a printed book-as the work of Albertus Magnus was on the Roman Index during the 17th cent. There were several editions printed from 1607 onwards to as late as 1740, and these contained the three works by Albertus followed by the treatise on generation and physiognomy by Michael Scotus. (Cf. Thorndike. 'History of Magic and Experimental Science'. Vol. II, pp. 328-330, Ch. lxiii.)
