NOW KNOW YE, that in compliance with the said proviso, I, the said Christopher Henderson, do hereby declare that the said medicine is com¬ pounded as folioweth (that is to say):— Take of the highest cordial, balsamic, and stomachic ingredients a proper quantity of each, according to the quantity you want to make, which are to be 5 infused without heat in a cephalic menstruum for the space of seven days, to which must be added a right proportion of hepatic, deobstruent, and nervous ingredients, all which are to be mixed & digested together for the space of one month in balneo marise, in a sufficient quantity of strong mountain wine, after which the balsamic liquour is to be strained off, and is to be administred 10 in the quantity of one or^two tablespoonfulls to grown persons, and in that of one or two teaspoonfulls to children. In witness whereof, I, the said Christopher Henderson, have hereunto set my hand and seal, the Thirtieth day of May, in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and sixty-seven. 15 CHRIS* HENDERSON, (la) Sealed and delivered (being first duly stampt) in the presence of Jb Leigh. Robt Wright. 2q AND BE IT REMEMBRED, that on the day and year last above men¬ tioned, the aforesaid Christopher Henderson came before our said Lord the King in His Chancery, and acknowledged the Specification aforesaid, and all and every thing therein contained and specified, in form above written. And also the Specification aforesaid was stampt according to the tenor of the Statute made in the sixth year of the reign of the late King and Queen William and Mary of England, and so forth.
