Correspondence [to Henry Wellcome from MS&Co]

This large bundle of signed and copy documentation related to the purchase by Henry Wellcome of SMB's interest in Burroughs Wellcome & Co. including his settlement with Mrs Burroughs. It was originally held in one file with items being filed in chronological order. This has been retained.

It includes:
1) Progress reports by MS&Co to Henry Wellcome in regards to the court action made by Mrs SMB against Wellcome.
2) copies of letters to Mrs SMB and Humphreys [SMB's solicitors]
3) Details of payments made to Mrs SMB
4) Details of transfer of assets to Henry Wellcome's name - such as Trade Marks.
5) Proposed terms to be agreed by Henry Wellcome and Mrs SMB for a settlement
6) Practical details - such as the arrangement of a mortgage by Henry Wellcome in order to finance a settlement
7) Details of personal items held by the company at Snow Hill and Dartford being returned to Mrs SMB.
8) A copy of a will dated 22 Apr 1887 by SMB [not the final will]

There are also 2 'wet copy' letters from Sudlow to Kemp & Ford, and Henry Wellcome to Gardiner which should be handled with care.
