About this work

Description

Correspondence and papers relating to the exhibition 'The Chapel of the Holocaust Triptych' at St Paul's Cathedral, London, including Rosen's letters regarding approach to the Vatican to obtain back, on temporary loan, his sculpture 'The Revelation' in order for it to form part of the exhibition instead of a life sized cardboard cut out. ('The Revelation' had been presented to Pope John Paul II when he visited Britain in 1982. The matter proved rather difficult and Rosen had to write to the Pope himself. It was, in the end, lent back for the St Paul's exhibition and was later returned to the Vatican by Rosen), background notes to the bringing together of the triptych and various draft versions of the publicity information or St Paul's exhibition catalogue.
