    During the year members of the local detachment of Red Cross Nurses have attended the Hospital for practical train¬ ing and we appreciate tbe services rendered by them. The finances give rise to grave anxiety. The state of emergency and the outbreak of war resulted in considerably increased expenditure. It is most important that the services of the Hospital should be efficiently maintained and we appeal to all to do their utmost to reduce the considerable deficit during the year. To the Hon. Medical Staff and other Hon Officers we tender our grateful thanks. The Staff conditions at the Hospital give every satisfac¬ tion. Thanks are accorded to the many donors of gifts, to Mr. G. S. Albright for weekly vegetables and turkeys at Christmas, and to all who have assisted in any way during the past year. FORM OF LEGACY The following Form is inserted for the guidance of any persons who may be desirous of contributing by Will towards the support of the Hospital : — I Give and Bequeath to the Ledbury Cottage Hospital the sum of £ free of Legacy Duty and I direct that the said Legacy shall be paid to the Treasurer for the time being of the said Hospital whose receipt shall be a sufficient discharge for the same. DEED OF COVENANT. The Hospital would greatly benefit if Subscribers of Two Guineas and upwards per annum would sign a Deed of Covenant, which will be provided on application to the Hon. Secretary, to guarantee the subscription annually for seven years (or till death, whichever is the shorter period), thus enabling the Hospital to reclaim Income Tax on the amount of the subscription.
