A Japanese translation by Ogata Kōan, after an 1816 Dutch translation by Henricus Franciscus Thijssen titled Praktikale verhandeling over eene ziekelijke gevoeligheid van het oog, gewoonlijk zwakheid van gezigt genaamd, of the English work, On the morbid sensibility of the eye, commonly called weakness of sight, by John Stevenson, first published in 1810.
