    Artificial Palates. LETTERS PATENT to Simeon Mosely, of Hull, in the County of York, Surgeon Dentist, for the Invention of “ Improvements in the Manufacture of Artificial Palates for the Adaptation of Artificial Teeth. Sealed the 8th September 1854, and dated the 10th March 1854. PROVISIONAL SPECIFICATION left by the said Simeon Mosely at the Office of the Commissioners of Patents, with his Petition, on the 10th March 1854. I Simeon Mosely, of Hull, in the County of York, Surgeon Dentist, do 5 hereby declare the nature of the said Invention for “ Improvements in the Manufacture of Artificial Palates for the Adaptation of Artificial Teeth,” to be as follows: , , . , This Invention consists in so forming artificial palates or plates to which artificial teeth are affixed as that they adapt themselves readily to the roof of 10 the mouth of the persons to whom they are to be fitted, and the principal feature in this Invention consists in forming such said palates with a series ol small indentations of different depths ; that is to say, those indentations which are at the middle of the palate are formed considerably deeper than the sur¬ rounding ones.
