Audrey Amiss sketchbook: still life, trees, plants, and people (c.1962)

Sketchbook created by Audrey Amiss, containing watercolour sketches, with some annotations. Some pages have been rubbed or doused with water to create textured paper damage, which seems to have been a compositional decision. Subjects include still life, trees, plants and people. Also includes a press cutting (dated 1962) relating to a gymnastics competition for Sunderland pupils.

The date has been estimated during cataloguing and is based on the contents of the volume, and the date found on the press cutting inside the sketchbook.
