a letter from the Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to members of the Sectional Committee for Zoology communicating two questions from the Committee Chairman regarding the appointment of a second referee in connection with a rejected paper by S H Revell. The correspondence between the Assistant Secretary and Committee Chairman summarising the case is enclosed.

Letter from Haldane to the Assistant Secretary informing that he does not believe second referees should be called in cases where the communicator of a rejected paper feels aggrieved at the decision.
