Biographical note
This committee was established in 1986 to develop database technology to record all patients with epilepsy. It comprised two working parties, one in Europe and one in America, which reported to the Steering Committee, which in turn reported to the Executive Committee. The aim of the database was to facilitate information exchange and comparison of results of studies based on the data collection.
