Research conducted by Jonathan Libenau

Two letters (7 June and 30 September, 1982) from J D Spink (Assistant Secretary, Wellcome Foundation Ltd) to Dr Jonathan Liebenau, referring to his proposed research in the papers that constitute WF/TRC. Having received agreement from other member companies of the Therapeutic Research Corporation, Spink sends "a catalogue of the Therapeutic Research Corporation archives ... prepared by a couple of vacation students some months ago." The file includes, as a photocopied hand-list in manuscript, the catalogue referred to.

Spinks refers (30 September) to Liebenau identifying, in return for access, "those of the files which we should keep for their historical interest. We have just completed a massive file clearance on all our own Company archives and I would like to take this opportunity of doing the same with the TRC files so that we only retain those which are of genuine historical interest and destroy the rest." There is no indication whether this exercise was done.
