"A dinner to Dr Frederick B. Power"

"Reprint from Press Report" - a detailed account of a dinner given (21 July, 1896) by Henry Wellcome on the occasion of Power's appointment as Director of the newly-established Wellcome Research Laboratories: "Nearly fifty gentlemen, distinguished in chemical, medical, and allied branches of science, sat down to dinner in the Duke's Salon of the Holborn Restaurant, Mr H S Wellcome presiding ... and a very artistic souvenir of the occasion, containing a portrait of Dr Power, was presented to each guest" (p. 1).
