Compiler's holograph MS. The upper cover is inscribed on the outside in gold: 'The symptoms, causes and treatment of various diseases with many notes on medicine by Rowland Neville Pickering 1876'. The line containing the name has been partly erased. It seems to have been actually written by P. S. U. Pickering.
