Description
Daguerreotype portrait of unidentified woman wearing bonnet. Set in deep burgundy leather case with burgundy velvet liner on underside of hinged top lid, retained by two small brass clasps. Gilt frame embossed with: "Beard Patentee" (Richard Beard).

Ownership note
Found [c1980s] in the office of Nick Godman, Records Manager, together with various pharmaceutical prize medals in the name of Frederic William Gamble (for which see WF/M/Obj/06).
