    N° 13,667 A.D. 1892 Dale of Application, 27th July, 1892—Accepted, 27th Aug., 1892 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION. A New or Improved Medicine or Specific for the Cure or Alleviation of Asthma or Bronchial Affections. I Arthur Clarence Cohen of 40 Priory Road, West Hampstead, Com¬ mercial Traveller, do hereby declare the nature of this invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement:— 5 This invention relates to the manufacture of a specific for the relief and cure of asthma and bronchitis. The invention consists in the combination of ingredients and the mode of prepa¬ ration hereafter described. New laid eggs are to be crushed and steeped, in a covered vessel, in sufficient 10 lemon juice for about twenty-four hours by which time the egg shells will become dissolved. To this mixture Jamaica rum is to be added and after stirring well together, the mixture is to be carefully strained and bottled for use. The preferred proportions are as follows. Eggs - - -■ - - - 4 15 Lemons -------8 Rum ------- 1 pint. The dose is one tablespoonful of the mixture with one dessert spoonful of filtered water to be taken, preferably fasting, one hour before breakfast every morning until a cure is effected. 20 The eggshells are an important ingredient of this composition as they have the effect of imparting certain qualities which kill the germ of the disease whilst the rum braces up and invigorates the system and so assists in the eradication of the malady. Having now particularly described and ascertained the nature of the said inven- 25 tion and in what manner the same is to be performed, I declare that what 1 claim is. The preparation and manufacture of the herein described composition of eggs, lemon juice, and rum, substantially in the manner and for the purpose specified. Dated this 27th day of July 1892. 30 ' A.
