The remedy Syngulin was introduced in Austria by Syngala GmbH (founded in 1923) and was a market leader in Austria between the World Wars. After World War II the company disappeared and Syngulin was taken over by the Swiss firm of Wander AG--Otto Nowotny, 'Die pharmazeutische Industrie in Österreich: Teil IV', ÖAZ Aktuell, no. 14 (2002)
