Germany, 1947-1948

In 1947 Hart and his colleague Marc Daniels were sent by the Foreign Office to the British Zone of Occupation in Germany to form an expert opinion regarding the relative risks of a tuberculosis outbreak in the area. This file includes document issued by the German Section of the Foreign Office defining the investigation (1947) and copies of Hart and Daniels' official report to Foreign Office Tuberculosis in the British Zone of Germany with a section on Berlin (1947). It also includes correspondence and published figures regarding mortality rates in the region, cuttings and off-prints from previous research articles and press-cuttings.
