Photographs of individual homes: interiors, exteriors, residents, staff, outings and special events, some professional and some amateur `snaps'. About half of these were in a series of labelled envelopes, sorted according to location. Loose and unlabelled photographs have been matched up and amalgamated with these where possible. However, there were a certain amount remaining which it was difficult to attribute and these have been kept in their original groupings and roughly dated. Where negatives were situated with the appropriate set of prints, these have been kept together.

Others, including strips which contain negatives relating to different locations or other subjects, such as staff and AGMs, have been placed at the end of Section J.5. All files cover a wide date span often from the 1950s to the 1980s, unless otherwise stated. See also F.5/8-12
