Transcript of interview with Dr Stefan Cembrowicz, transcribed September 2004, 26 pp. Ivor Doney was born in Cornwall, the son of a police inspector, in 1920. He joined the Territorial Army in the RAMC shortly before the outbreak of World War II, serving as a Warrant Officer Class 2, Sergeant Major, posted mainly on troop ships. After the War went to medical school via the Further Education and Training Scheme, but his training was interrupted by getting tuberculosis and have to spend several years in a sanatorium. Once he was qualified did house jobs in Southmead Hospital, obtained the DRCOG and the DCH, studying for the latter with Dr Beryl Corner. Married at the age of 40 Tania Betchers, a dental surgeon, originally from Russia, via Latvia and being a displaced person. Went into general practice in Bristol, also did part-time work as a factory doctor and a police surgeon. Became interested in homeopathy and obtained the MFHom. Also did qualifications in industrial health, DIH, occupational medicine, MFOM, and medical jurisprudence, DMJ
