Description

Oil painting by a follower of Thomas Hudson of a man previously thought to be Carl Linnaeus (1707-1778) Swedish botanist, physician and zoologist. The painting was purchase at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1929 and accessioned in 1941 (accession number P67/1941).
