Biographical note
The objectives of the IEA are to promote the use of epidemiology and its application to health problems throughout the world, requiring collaboration and involvement with national and international organisations.
During 1984-1994, the IEA made a determined effort to develop regional activities and to strengthen its links and co-operation specifically with the World Health Organisation (WHO).
