    lo the Lord Provost, Directors, and Subscribers to Aberdeen General Dispensary. I beg leave to offer myself as a Candidate for tlie Medical Vacancy in the Dispensary, caused bv tlie t/ deatli of Dr. Smith. I was for many years one of the Medical Officers of the Institution, and had the satisfaction of receiving from the Directors an Honorarium, chiefly for originating the office and gi-atiiitously performing for several years tlie duties of Dental Surgeon. Although obliged to resign the situation in consequence of great debility, originating in fever, caught in the discharge of my duties, and increased by a series of domestic mis¬ fortunes, I have for some time completely recovered, and again oher myself to your consideration as a candidate for the present vacancy, or the one that is in prospect, feeling confident that my past experience will only render mv services more valuable.
