Description

Hierapolis was an ancient Greek city located on hot springs in classical Phrygia in south-western Anatolia. It is said to be the place of martyrdom of Saint Philip.Subsequently surviving sites include the temple of Apollo, Martyrium of Saint Philip, the ancient theatre, the Byzantine Gate, the Rome Gate, the agora, the bath of Rome, and the Necropolis
