Project Summary:This project is designed to stimulate interest and excitement in the ‘musical brain’. Distinguished neuroscientists will present cutting-edge research on specific topics of interest, such as rhythm, synchronisation, harmony, emotion and rehabilitation, using the NASH Ensemble, one of the world’s greatest chamber music ensembles, to provide live examples of musicianship and ensemble performance. The project will take place as part of the Nash Ensemble Festival in Cumberland Lodge, Windsor Great Park, from 10-16 August 2009 and will involve lectures, workshops, open rehearsals, discussions and concerts.
