Agreements between Galton and men hired as wagon drivers and leaders:

  • Agreement with Timboo, to drive either oxen or mules, at the rate of £3.10.0 per month, with £1.10.0 out of that sum to be paid to his wife in Cape Town every month. 1 ff plus 1 envelope.
  • Agreement with John St Helena and John [illegible name. Weele?] to be wagon drivers or leaders at a rate of $50 per month. 1 ff.
  • Agreement with John Allen to be hired as a wagon leader at a rate of $26 per month payable by cheque upon Cape Town. 1 ff.
