Address and Obligant Book Men

Information contained includes patient name and number, name and address of Obligant, date of admission, rate of board, names of relatives, name of person to inform in case of patient's illness, and instructions relating to patient's clothing, letters and pocket money. This information is not fully completed for every patient. In many cases date of discharge or death have also been recorded. This volume contains the names of both private and rate-aided patients. For rate-aided patients the parish chargeable for the patient's board is listed under 'Obligant'. The earliest date of admission in this volume is 1876 and the latest is 1937.
