<p>On the left a knight in armour (Toggenburg?) holds up a finger ring. Centre, a woman and a man embrace (Marie and Lindenthal?). The man is dressed in style of circa 1600. Is the knight the same person as the subject of the poem by Friedrich von Schiller "Ritter Toggenburg" (1797), in an earlier episode in his life?</p>
