    LONDON, November 7th, 1808. From this Fublication the Readers may dis- cern what is hastening upon the Land, as they are daily provoking the Lord to Anger, by false Doctrine, as well as the crying Sins of the Nation. TWO books were lately brought to me, which made me shudder to read : The one, deny- ing the Divinity of CHRIST; and the other, from the doctrine in it, must deny the prophets ; as he denies every condition held out by them, and makes the Lord the author of every evil. Now, if the Gospel is denied, and the Prophets are denied, what have we to expect and look for, but a fearful judgment hastening on. For the good of the public I shall point out their errors, that the wise may discern that such doctrine as these books contain hardeneth men in sin, by denying the promises of the LORD, held out by the prophets to returning sinners on the one hand, and the truth of the Gospel they are denying on the other.
