Stone preparatory to the operation ' OF Lithotomy, it will be found that if the Instrument be brought- 1T0 the ISCHIATIC RiNG, ON EITHER THE RIGHT OR THE LEFT SIDE, .'AND KEPT PRESSED THERE, IT WILL PROCURE A SENSATION LIKE THAT ' CAUSED BY TOUCHING A LARGE ROUGH STONE. SuCH SENSATION BEING i FOUND THERE, DISTRUST IT AS PROOF OF THE EXISTENCE OP StONE IN THE Bladder ; for this is a spot where the Spurious sense of 'Stone may be produced; and confounded with, or mistaken for, TTHE GENUINE.
