Description

Mostly typescripts on the creation and early history of Burroughs Wellcome & Co (Australia), with photocopies of the Australasian Journal of Pharmacy.

Also including: copy of letter from Henry Wellcome to George Pearson, offering Wellcome's views on accountants and typescript, 'Industry Research prior to 1900 - The Significance of Henry Wellcome's Interest; chronology of Cooper's in Australia; letter to MacDonald from C A Faruharson-Roberts, Cobham Archivist, on the flight of Sir Alan Cobham to Australia in 1926. (Cobham flew from Britain to Australia and back, his kit being replenished by Burroughs Wellcome (Australia) for the return flight. Unfortunately, the kit was unable to save the life of Cobham's flight engineer, who died after being hit by a chance shot from a tribesman near the Persian Gulf.

Added to the file: a draft of an indenture relating to the use of Trade Marks by Burroughs Wellcome & Co (Australia), March 1926.
