Description

Consists of two notebooks containing draft lecture scripts, a typescript of Penrose's lecture "Essay on consciousness", read to the Psychological Group, Manchester University, on 21 March 1956, typescript of Penrose's talk "Time and evolution" for the J Walter Thompson spring seminar, on 18 Mar 1965, and an unpublished MS titled "The evolution of consciousness".

Also includes articles on consciousness and on evolution by computer by Ernest Zeisler and J L Crosby respectively, and a press cutting from The Times.
