The section titles are; introduction; general pharmacology; definitions; the qualitative investigation of a drug; mode of action of drugs - the hypothesis of drug receptors; relation of drug action to drug structure; quantitative investigation of drug action; biological variation; standardisation of drug preparations; toxic effects; side effects inherent in the actions of a drug; and specific toxic effects.
