Description

Lettre aux vrays disciple[s] d'Hermès contenant les six premiers clefs de la Philosophie secrette [sic] de Sendivogius. [c. 1765.] This is a transcript of the work, first published in 1689, as pp. 121-152 of the anonymous 'Le triomphe hermétique'. In this MS. it ends on p. 23 with the colophon 'Le nom de l'autheur est dans cette anagrame en Latin "Divus sicut ardens S". Fin.' This is followed by alchemical notes and extracts, including some from Pernety's 'Dictionnaire mytho-hermétique' first published at Paris in 1758. [Cf. Ferguson.
