About this work
Description
Collection of correspondence to ACT from a wide range of people. The majority of the letters are from MS sufferers describing their experiences of using cannabis. There are also a large number of letters from both individuals and institutions requesting information about the work of ACT, including a number of students.
The files have been catalogued chronologically and the files SA/ACT/1-10 are in date order from 1992-2001. The remaining files were ordered thematically and this order has been retained. They are ordered in chronological groups retaining the original file titles. Scattered heavily throughout this correspondence are letters describing individuals experiences of using cannabis to alleviate the symptoms of MS. These files have been closed under the Data Protection Act to protect confidentiality of individual patients. Two files of letters and extracts of letters that have been anonymized can be found in SA/ACT/1/20 and SA/ACT/1/21.
