Volume of student notes taken by Martin in surgery lectures. No dates are given in the volume. Ff.1-125 notes on surgical technique, including sutures and dressings, as well as problems which may arise, such as septicaemia. Also describes operations, including laparotomy and various diseases and illnesses and how to treat them. Ff.126-129 blank. Ff.130-192 notes various conditons, thier sypmtoms, causes and treatments. F.193 blank. Ff.194-195 notes on removing ventricle of Laynx. Ff.196-199 blank Inserted at f.124 is a cutting from The Veterinary Student, which is an extract from a pamphlet o the National Canine Defence League. 199ff. Most of the text is on the recto, the verso being left blank.
