Biographical note

Project Summary:Moving House (working title) is a collaboration between director David Rosenberg and ,choreographer Frauke Requardt. .It is due to premiere in the UK in spring/summer 2010. Moving House will be a site-specific dance piece, which takes place in a temporary structure, watched by audience members sitting outside, looking in. Using binaural sound technology the audience listen through headphones to the internal life of the building as the piece unfolds. The structure will look like a hotel, with the audience cast as voyeurs, witnessing the stories, habits and secrets of the occupants' of the hotel. We want to develop our use of binaural sound technology through research into the physiology of hearing, and to explore thematic ideas around different pathologies of perception. We are asking the Wellcome Trust to fund a discrete element of the project- a research and development phase with a neurophysiologist including a consultation period and a 2 week workshop.
