    MANCHESTER AND SALFORD SANITARY ASSOCIATION. REPORT ON THE INTERMENT OF THE HEAD. TO THE CENTRAL COMMITTEE OF THE MANCHESTER AND SALFORD SANITARY ASSOCIATION. The Sub-Committee appointed to consider “ The Question of providing for the Interment of the Dead in the City of Manchester, in all those points with which this Association is competent to deal,” Beg respectfully to Report, That in considering the matter submitted to them, they have been surprised to find that the question of providing for General Interments has been viewed in so varied a manner, and so indeterminately treated by even the highest authorities to which they could apply for informa¬ tion. Difficulties arising from these causes met your Sub-Committee as the}r proceeded, and have operated, to a considerable extent, in retarding their movements. They, however, submit the result of their labours, in the hope that, if incomplete, it will afford some assistance to those who may hereafter resume the consideration of this important subject.
