Description
Thomas Hodgkin MD (1798-1866) suspected that the physician Dr Edward May unwittingly caused Elizabeth Hodgkin's death from puerperal fever by introducing infection to her from another patient. For Hodgkin's letter to Dr Achille Foville on the subject see:
