About this work

Description

Correspondence about the expansion of premises in New York; the purchase of the Hodgman Co premises in Tuckahoe, the production of an alkali product; and the creation of a Malt Manufacturing Plant in Tuckahoe. Largely between Pearson and Henry Wellcome and Pearson and Nevin.

Of specific note is the insight these letters give to the working relationship between Pearson, Wellcome and Nevin; and the running and equipping of the New York building. Wellcome also provides a detailed account of the buying and equipping of the Hodgman property [letter dated 23 October 1926].

NB the letters sometimes refer to other pieces of correspondence which were not present in the file at the time of cataloguing.
