A painting in Rita Simon's Archaic Transition style, depicting a woman sitting on a cliff above the sea. "Painted by a man, a very long-term psychiatric patient he was discharged into the community with pills and nursing attention. Eventually he attended a day centre two or three days a week, and came to work in my studio. Very paranoid, a very impressive painter, he also dictated and wrote poems. He never broke down so much that he had to go back into hospital. He was a very prolific painter in the Archaic Transition style. Very vivacious painting" Rita Simon.
