Description

The book has been used at both ends: from the beginning, folios 1-276, followed by about 50 blanks; from the end, folios + 1 to + 145.

On fo. 1 is the name Thomas Coxe, and date 11 April, 1693. The book is written by more than one hand, and parts of it are older than this date.

On fo. 1 are some jottings, apparently made by a child: "Taken to hier ye History of Venice ye 11th July"; "3 books fro: Mr Rea 4 Oct"; "The hist of ye Low cuntreys 25 Nov."

On fo. + 1 is a note of tobacco "taken of Mr Rich. Parsons." 1 lb. is entered each fortnight from 17 April to 16 June.
