About this work

Description

With an envelope addressed to J A Hill (franked 26 August, 1943), and annotated "Centenary Photos":

33 photographs, only some of which are identified verso. Many derive from the Company Centenary celebrations of 1943 (the Company's Jubillee was celebrated in 1893), and others appear to be copies of photographs of an earlier date. They include portraits of senior staff (most identified verso), Cooper family graves, and some agricultural images. With some copy plates, as photographs, from an unspecified publication, showing sales figures over time for Cooper's Sheep Dipping Powder, and a Cooper family tree.

Also, two menus:
< "H W R for Auld Lang Syne" (5 October, 1934), with individual staff photographs on front cover, each autographed. Menu belonging to J A Hill (his initials inside).
"Menu of Dinner at Savoy Hotel 15 August 1934 to celebrate the 60th birthday of Sir R A Cooper". Names of guests listed. Menu belonging to J A Hill (signature).
