About this work

Description

The chest was supplied by John Bell and has the name 'Arthur Wellesley' written on the labels of the bottles. The chest contained tincture of rhubarb, ether and other common medicaments. Wellington had the chest with him throughout the Peninsular Campaign at Waterloo.
