Includes correspondence with the Prime Minister's office (1974) on Bierer's proposals for a solution to the miners' dispute. Also includes letters to Margaret Thatcher's office (1981-1983) on her social and economic policy, and correspondence with Gerard Vaughan, Minister at the Department of Health and Social Security (1981-1982 on proposals for new services at the Marlborough Day Hospital. Also includes some of Bierer's writings on the overuse of drugs and treatment of schizophrenia, some of which are earlier versions of chapters in his autobiography, and various other papers.
