About this work

Description

In November 1983, members of the Finance and General Purposes Committee (F&GP) met with Peter Brinton and John Allday to discuss long-term financial planning at the NCT. Subsequently, a Financial Working Party was established to identify the causes of the Trust's financial position and to consider how financial management and budgeting might be improved. A report was produced by the Finance Working Party in July 1984. Also contains some minutes of the NCT Administrative Committee.

Following the report, a Subcommittee of Council was set up to look into the recommendations of the Finance Working Party, and to examine the Leeds Report, produced following syndicated work done by Council members and Headquarters Committee Chairmen at a Management Weekend (also referred to as the Organisational Weekend) in Leeds, Jan 1984.
