About this work
Description
The swimming bath was a facility constructed when Belle Vue House was pulled down: the ground floor building walls were left, and in the shell a swimming bath was made, for the use of staff. Photographs 1-6 show people present at the opening (persons are named on the back of one photograph) and show various swimmers in action. Photographs 7-8 show male swimmers on a later occasion, c 1950s
